Windows 2016 Storage Spaces Direct RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I have a question on Windows 2016 S2D but unable to identify the correct forum to post to.

    My question as below:

If my volume is configured as multi-resilency setting with 30% in mirror (SSD) and 70% in parity (SAS), can i confirm that if one of the SSD has been removed from the server, the data is able to be recovered.

If the volume is configured as mirror which means, does it mean that data is able to be fully recovered by fully if removed?

How can i further protect the mirror disk (encryption or etc) to mitigate the data loss should disk is being removed?
