Assign programmatically a Custom Password Policy to a security group RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We looked at this link https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770842(v=ws.10).aspx that explains how to create custom password policies. The documentation states that a custom password policy can be assigned to a Security Group. It is also shown in the doc how to do it via poweshell commands.

We are wondering if it is possible to assign a password policy to a Security group programmatically (via LDAP attribute configuration or C#/Java libraries).

    Is it possible?

    Thanks in advance

  • This is not a C# or Java forum.  You will have to post in one of those forums for assistance.  The simple answer is, if it can be done in PowerShell then it can be done in C#.  If you have the libraries for ADSI support libraries and you know how to code Java at the systems level then it can also be done in Java.  Post in the appropriate forum for assistance or search fro example of managing AD policies with Java.
