Sum values on report

Question

Hello all,
I have a dropdown box with six different values in on my contact form. I want to run a simple report on this field to tell me how many of each I have on the database, how can I do this?
Thanks!

You can use the OOB CRM Report wizard to give you the count of records by the option set value. When creating the report select the option set (dropdown) field as the Group column and summary type as count.
Here is a sample where I chose Gender (Option set) as Group field with Summary type : Count

Hi RoarCRM,
For your purpose attainment you have to make FetchXMl parametric report from where you'll pass a parameter in the report same of your dropdown field with same number of values. and then make an aggregate on the passing parameter.
You are referred to this blog post for understanding the basic of FetchXMl.
