  • Okay, we're getting somewhere.

    Click on the subscribe link.

When prompted enter the *same* LiveID that you originally subscribed with. If you have entered a different email address and it asks for payment information, that is the wrong LiveID. You cannot use the same key to activate a reinstall or additional install - you must use the LiveID (the email address you used to activate the subscription).

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate the reinstall or additional computer install.

  • Use the cleanup tool - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=828910&SiteID=2

Then reinstall OneCare from http://onecare.live.com and activate with your subscription LiveID.

If you are encountering a specific error during the install, please post back or contact support -

If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.

What is the error you are encountering? It sounds like you have installed successfully, but are unable to activate. What is the error you receive when activating with your subscription LiveID?

Check your PC date and time. If you don't see a link within OneCare to subscribe or activate, it is likely that the date is very wrong on your PC.
