LocalDataCache designer and XML file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I´ve a short question. I created a LocalDataCache with the designer.
The designer created a LocalDataCache.sync File (XML) and a LocalDataCache.Designer.cs (C# and SQL Code).

When I want to change some lines in the SQL-Statements... do I only have to change these lines in the LocalDataCache.Designer.cs?
or also in the XML of LocalDataCache.sync.

When is the LocalDataCache.sync file needed?

  • Hi Martin,

This MSDN article has what steps to do what you are looking for. In short you need to rt-click on the .sync file in VS and select view code. This creates a .cs file which you can update by adding partial classes to update the commands.

Looks at the section "To remove tracking columns from synchronization commands "
