How to extend Win 7 beta grace period? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I've been running Win 7 x64 since it released and I love it. But a couple of days ago I started getting "Not Genuine" alerts of increasing severity, now up to "You man be a victim of software counterfeiting." But of course a beta product cannot be activated and surely the beta should not have expired yet?

If I run the command "
slmgr -xpr" it brings up the response "Windows is in Notification mode".

Microsoft should want mt to keep testing the product. Any idea on how I can stop the alerts?

    Thanks,

    Sam

  • Hi Sam,
Thank you for trying the Windows 7 beta. Unfortunately, as Windows 7 is not yet released I don't have an answer to your question. Please re-post it in the Windows 7 beta forum.

    Thank you,
