Scheduled Import of CSV RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My customer would like to import the product list, which is now an Excel file. Since changes are applied in the Excel file, he asked if it is possible to have an automatic import job of the .csv file every week or something or will he have to do this manually every time?

  • Hi,

The MS CRM v4.0 Import tool and Data Migration Manager do not allow for scheduled uploads. It will not be possible for you to schedule uploads without a 3rd party import tool like Scribe.

Scribe Insight's console component that comes with the software does allow to schedule uploads based on time, query or file drop.

  • Hi.

You can develop windows service which will execute this job based on schedule or create a custom workflow action which will execute export and based on this action build recursive workflow.
