fake email generations

Question

For some time now, emails have been sent to people or businesses in my address book that are appearing to be from me. These do not carry anything in the subject line and generally advertise things like Viagra....very embarrassing to me. I have tried putting a fake name in my address book to stop it and that did not work. I was informed tonight that the emails are now infected with a virus. the only way I am aware of the emails is through failed delivery notifications that carry the fake name from my address book as one of the recipients. I do not find the virus on my virus scans. Please if you can help!!!!
