Doing a blind transfer to an external number RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I want to do a support call routing application that receives calls to a single 800 number and then checks our database for the phone number of the person on call. It then attempts to do a blind transfer to this person cell phone number.

I basicly used the blind transfer example as a starting point. This works find on my test speech server which has a BrookTrout TRS1000 4 port analog board in it and uses TIMC.

When I try this on my other speech server which is configured to use SIP and is connected to a CISCO 3725 I get the following error in the.

Application Error 50000: An exception occurred in the Speech workflow with Id 8b8d84a6-45ff-495d-90e0-e188639c1e5d.  The exception was: A transfer failed in call state Transferring after receiving notify message Failed.

In the logs for the CISCO Router I'm getting

    Invalid Protocol.

  • MSS 2007 only supports TCP for SIP. Check to make sure you are not communicating to the CISCO 3725 on UDP.

    Hope that helps.

  • By the way I only specify the 10 digit phone number. I not providing any SIP URI formating; not sure of this matters.

Are you able to do bridge transfers using Brooktrout TR1000 in the Speech Server?
