    I've read some of the previous threads and it seems like there are always contradictions.

    1) RE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952934 -- it doesn't say to redeploy!  It says to edit the Organization in the redeployment manager

    2) Donna recommends also following the db upgrade kb as well.  Well, we can't in a supported manner touch anything that the CRM database holds that might not be compliant with higher versions.  So, why don't we have a specific upgrade patch?

    So I'm asking why I can't just follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952934 with the added step of changing the compatibility level to 100 on each database?

    According to Microsoft, what I propose is the case except that CRM doesn't know anything about compatibility level.  We are interpreting that as good-to-go because someone would have asked for a database patch by now.
