  • What happens when you try to access crm.mydemos.com . Do you get an error, and if so, what is it ?

Are you sure the NLB setup is correct ? One test is to connect to a different resource on crm.mydemos.com, such as a different website, or just ping (if you enable ICMP)

  • Hi,

When i access crm.mydemos.com got "this page can't be displayed".  when ping crm.mydemos.com ping resource could not find resource.

is there any configuration wizard need to run as i had crm installation without the checking of NLB deployment mode option then after i am trying to make it NLB mode and mark the NLB deployment option.

is that scenario supported to enable NLB after having sinle server installation.

    pls guide thanks.

  • If you cannot ping crm.mydemos.com , but can ping crm1, then it sounds like the problem is with the NLB setup, and not CRM. Does crm.mydemos.com resolve to an IP address ?

  • Hi,

    I have done following steps.

1- Create host entry in active directory

2- On both server CRM IIS site add host header.

3- On second node i select all component options like frontend, backend and deployment. is it right way for NLB.

now its working. but i have some quires, in above article it add SPN entry under user name so what is the use and purpose of that SPN entry, can we achieve NLB without SPN entry.

is it necessary to add host entry in both IIS site of CRM.

secondly there are some other component like reporting extension, crm for outlook and crm email router. how we can achieve high availability of these component. can these component install with frontend server.

    pls guide.

    thx

  • Hi,

I'm no wiz with NLB, but you also have to point both the CRM servers to the NLB address in the deployment manager.

For the rest of the stuff I'm confident that David will help you :)
