Facilities as Enterprise resources... How? RRS feed

    Hello Guys... My turn to ask a question here :)

    I want to create a facility resource called LAB2. This resource is to be an enterprise resource. It is a Work resource as it has limited availability (and a base calendar). I'd like to set it so the PMs can still update the progress on the tasks himself, ideally through Project Pro. 

    I found a way to make the task appear on somebody else's task sheet, but it creates a different update workflow than the timesheet, and it has to be tied to a single user, instead of leaving the PMs to update the tasks.

    I am using the Single-Entry mode, pretty standard config.

    Any pointers?

    Hi Joel,

    Can you please explain exactly how you would like the facility to be updated. Your first sentense already outlined the answer I believe. You can ask a PM to uodate the facility directly in MS Project Pro. That should work fine.

    If you mention the timesheet update and single entry mode, how do you envisage that the facility will be updated? I would ask the PM to update the task / facility directly in MS Pro.
