My Profile - My Threads RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Recently I noticed that the My Profile site is updated with New Interface.  Although the new UI is great, but I cannot find the My Threads option.

Using the My Threads screen, I could monitor all my threads and any recent replies to it, at one place.  This was  very useful screen for me.

Can someone please suggest the alternative in the New UI.

    Thanks,
    Kamlesh

  • I got the My Threads screen!!!

Just noticed that on any Forums page, at the right side, there is a section called "My Forum Links", which has all these options:

    My Settings
    My Profile
    My Threads
    My Alerts
    My Forums
    My Forums Threads
    Forums Home
    Browse Forums Users

Suggestion: May I request the Administrator to add these links in "My Profile" page too (Possibily below the Biography section)

    Thanks,
    Kamlesh

  • We are considering where to put this info (posts, answers) back into the profile. In the mean time, you can find it by going to the Browse Forums Users page. For your display name:  http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/browseusers?userName=ksdn

    Thanks for the workaround.

Will wait for your consideration further to show # of Posts and # of Answers to Forum Users in the Profile Page.

  • Yep, think I'll just check in once a month now that feature is gone. Gives me no incentive to answer any questions. I read another post as to the reason for the decision and I still don't get it. I liked it exactly the way it was and the new UI info SUCKS. Now I get to look at a bunch of trash I care nothing about looking at. I'm not satisfied with a work around, it needs to be front and center like before. Of course spring won't be long in coming, so my interest could just move to other things. Maybe one day somebody can explain the need for this action in layman terms.  As it stands it just doesn't make any sense. Maybe  - just maybe they'll take out the trash I don't want to see or give me the option to hide it. In fact, I don't really care that much about the number of posts I've made other than its useful in calculating my answer ratio when I "had" the answer count available (without taking the long way around getting to it).

  • Based on the feedback from the community, we have re-introduced the two forums statistics (# of answers, and # of posts) as part of the release earlier this week. These are now available as part of the user's profile (e.g. athttp://social.microsoft.com/profile/en-us/?user=Husain+Shambhoora&sp=forums)
