Scheduled backup fails with error 0x8004244B RRS feed

  • On this same system, the next scheduled backup succeeded. The only difference was that at the time of the backup, two users were logged on - the non-Admin user as in the first attempt, plus the Admin user itself.


    Does this mean, that in order for a scheduled backup to succeed, that an Admin user must be logged on to the system?

  • Backup should run fine under a non-admin user, but you're backing up to a network share - the non-admin user needs full rights to that destination, too.
