    Im a victim of counterfeit software, having bought what I thought was a genuine copy of Windows 7 at a reasonable price and installed it on a new laptop that had Vista as the OS, recently though, having done an update, I am now getting messages saying my version of windows is not legitimate, so I want to reinstall my very legitimate copy of XP, unfrtunately when I try to do so I am being told that I have a newer version OS on my system so it can not perform the reinstallation of XP, what do I need to uninstall to be able to perform this operation? Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.
