off topic - Trouble after updating Windows update 14.0ctober 2008

  Anyone having the same problem? My pc did not start after restart, I tried about 6 times and could not enter safemode either. I have Xp home with AMD Athlon 64x2 dualcore 3800+ and 2 GB RAM. After about 30 min the computer turned on and seem to be in order agian.
