Question

Hi!,
I bought Compaq Presario V3000 from HP-India in 2007 & windows vista home basic edition with microsoft 2003 came preinstalled. I activated the product with Microsoft in 2007 using COA [windows vista home basic OEMAct HP] label product key pasted on the machine. I donot have any installation CDs for any reinstallation / repairs.
I am able to receive updates but I get this annoying message every time I try to use Microsoft Office 2003. I have never got this machine repaired. I have never given this machine to anyone for use.
Pls guide me to remove this message asap.
statistic report of my machine is as follows:

The Office Professional 2003 version which you have is a volume license copy which is reported as non-genuine. It is a volume license copy (VLK) of office 2003 which is used for organisation. It is not for OEM (pre-installed) or for retail use. Uninstall the program and purchase a genuine product or contact your computer dealer.- Marked as answer by Darin Smith MS Wednesday, January 6, 2010 8:43 PM

Right now your HP/Compaq computer has a Volume Licensing installation of Office 2003 Professional installed, and this installation was done with a widely-pirated and now-blocked Volume Licensing Key (VLK). Microsoft blocks VLKs when the key has been lost, stolen, compromised, or when the associated Volume Licensing Agreement is no longer in effect, or if otherwise misappropriated for software piracy reasons.
If your use of this Volume Licensing edition of Office is in association with a larger business, educational, or governmental organization, please contact the tech support people within the organization to have them help you with correcting the Blocked VLK situation.
If your use of this blocked Volume Licensing edition of Office is not associated with a larger business, educational, or governmental organization, and you purchased this program thinking that it is a retail license for Office Professional 2003 to be sold to individual consumers, it is likely that you are a victim of software piracy or counterfeiting. As an individual consumer, you should never have been sold Volume Licensing (VL) materials such as these VL installation CDs, and you certainly should not have received a Blocked Product Key for Office Professional 2003. You should have been sold Genuine retail licensed software. Microsoft software that is preinstalled by the computer manufacturer is licensed as "OEM" software and will report as such in the "Other Data" section of the report. The current Office installation is not an OEM license.
If so, your first course of action is to confront your seller with this information and demand either a full refund or to receive the genuine software you paid for.
If the seller refuses to help, please file a piracy report at www.microsoft.com/piracy. Also, depending upon whether you received "high quality" counterfeit materials, you may qualify for the Office Complimentary Offer or for the Office Genuine Advantage discounted offer. Please see the FAQ here: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/FAQ.aspx?displaylang=en#ID0EKNAC If you think that you qualify for the Genuine Office Offer, apply for the Offer thru the Learn More Online link that the OGA Notifier is displaying.
One other possibility is that at one time your computer did have a Genuine installation of Office installed, but for some reason it was replaced with the current installation which is nongenuine. This could have happened if you took your computer to a repair shop and they reinstalled Windows and/or some or all of your programs. You Get Genuine once again by uninstalling the current nongenuine installation of Office and using your Genuine Microsoft hologrammed Office installation CDs, along with the genuine Product Key found on your Office Edition's Certificate of Authenticity, to put back the genuine installation of Office you may have already had on the computer.
