If One Care has been activated you will see a subscription end date on the lower left side of the One Care interface. If when you open One Care you see a "Subscribe" or "Activate" button follow these steps to activate:
- Open Windows Live OneCare, and then click Activate or Subscribe.
- In the Computer Name box, type your computer name, and then click Next.
- If you have a Windows Live ID, click Yes, and then click Next. If do not have a Windows Live ID, click No, and then click Next to create a Windows Live ID.
- In the Windows Live OneCare Activation wizard, type your Windows Live ID and password, and then click Sign in.
- Click Continue online, click one of the following options, and then follow the prompts:
- Subscribe Now
Click this option if you downloaded and installed the 90-day trial version. - Activate a token
Click this option if you purchased Windows Live OneCare at a store. When you are prompted for the prepaid PIN, use the 25-character product key. The product key is listed on a sticker on the back of the disc holder inside the Windows Live OneCare box.
- Subscribe Now
- After you set up your account in the Windows Live OneCare Activation wizard, click Next, and then click Finish.
