I think you are saying that the Portfolio did not display when you opened the Sample.mny file.
I meant to say "Administrative user", and I edited my earlier post accordingly. Sorry.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/create-new-user-account-in-windows-vista-7/ shows how to do it in Windows 7 or Vista.
The reason for making the new user is that the new user gets settings set for the initial defaults. These settings include the settings for Internet Explorer, which Money uses to perform its operations. If things work as that new user, you can look
to change settings in the older account.
In a few cases, you may not be able to get the old account working, and then other steps can be taken.
If things don't work properly as the new user, the problem could be some third party security software which is causing a problem.
