  • Greetings,

I've been using XP since 2002 it happen to be that I bought a genuine copy of windowsXP last tuesday on a local store(i didnt know that was so expensive just for a cd code). I had a desktop and a laptop and I have already installed it on a laptop then activate the product.. done. This one worry me most because when I use the same cd/cd key on my desktop the computer says that I have had to use another key for me to activate the product or call the operator to get some key. I never thought that I could only used the cd code once. what if I need to reinstall the product what should I do? despite that my cd key had been used already

Please anyone help on this... Thank you so much...

  • A Windows XP license can only be used on one (1) computer. A second installation on a different computer requires requires a second license.

    From the Windows XP EULA:

1.1 Installation and use. You may install, use, access, display and run one copy of the Software on a single computer, such as a workstation, terminal or other device ("Workstation Computer").

Please read your End-User License Agreement by going to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter. Then click on "End-User License Agreement".

If you already have a retail copy of Windows XP, you can obtain additional licenses for another computer or laptop by visiting the following Microsoft Web site: http://shop.microsoft.com/special/wal/walinfo.asp
