During import a SharePoint list to Project Web App, copy SP attachments RRS feed

  • Hi Tobias,

As a design , The PWA interface is to manage the project & related metadata but to store the documents for the project, it should be placed in project workspace. There is no out of box option available to store the attachment on PDP page.

As of now, I can think something where you may need to write a code in Solution starter which does the bulk import of sharepoint list item as a project, while it saves & publish the project & creates the project workpsace, get the project workspace url/siteid & then copy the data from the list item to project workspace's specific folder like Shared Documents.

Andrew's excellent blogpost describe the centralized document library but i am not sure if you want to get all project documents on a single document list.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi Amit,

    how fast are you :)

This would be very spooky to store sensetive project data in one big library. I have to use a 'almost standard' project server because of maintanence and stuff like that.

You helped me a lot by your approve of my search results.

Maybe I can find a tutorial or a something else how to test it as a POC.

    Thank you so much!
