Restore is terrible and NOT working RRS feed

    The ULTIMATE crash!!  Now I need to restore and it keeps hanging up and says it (OC) needs to close.  It takes TWO hours to get to the CRASH point.  The data on the backup drive is intact  OC just won't install it.  I have been very good about making a backup, but what is the good of that if it CANNOT restore it??
    I have reinstalled the XP OS.... installed OC  (and RE-installed out of a desperate attempt to GET MY DATA BACK).
    DOES OC actually work??
    What else can be done??  Besides doing it by hand (60000 folders) and rejoining files by hand (computer).
