how to uninstall a plug in - Live Writer

    Question

  • I can not seem to find a way to uninstall a plug in that is not working... in this case it is the Picasa insert image. It is very buggy and causing a lot of crashes... does it have to live on my sidebar forever? Running Win 7 and a very solid current build of Live Writer ... posting to Word Press, images via FTP ... no other problems.

  • The installation folder to WLW is:

       C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Writer\Plugins

You can remove the DLL's from there and they won't show up anymore, nor work.

    OR

in Windows Live Writer » TOOLS » PLUG-INS

Go through the plug-ins that are installed and choose to ENABLE or DISABLE the plug-ins you want to use; very useful for troubleshooting.
