removing old backup files when OneCare already is uninstalled

  I would like to know how to delete backup files that I do not need from an old hard drive

  without having to reformat the whole drive.

   

  I tested OneCare with XP in 2006 and then uninstalled it after opting for another security program.

  I created a backup of OneCare on 28.12.2006 00:43, on an external drive, which I now use (built-in).

  Now that I have Vista installed, and want to free up some memory space --

  I believe OneCare backup does use consider space --

  Vista doesn't allow me to delete or otherwise access it.

   

  Please assist.
