Internet -> Firewall -> POP3 Server -> Firewall -> Server with E-Mail Router installed -> Firewall -> CRM 4.0 Application
I would like to clarify these doubts:
1) Whether Server(with E-Mail Router) can pass the firewall to RETRIEVE the e-mail from the POP3 Server ? what is the port number that should be opened so that they can communicate with each other?
2) Whether Server (with E-Mail Router) can PUSH all e-mails in order to create as Activities inside CRM 4.0 application by passing through firewall? what is the necessary port numbers to be opened ?
3) Can we use Windows 2003 Server default POP3 Services ?
4) Can the server scaled up ? Means that multiple servers will be deployed with each servers installed with E-Mail Router software. But multiple e-mail routers installed will access the same CRM database/application. In the Implementation Guide, it's written that multiple CRM applications can be served by a single E-Mail Router.
