failure that appear when i import an entity RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had export an entity which i export from another CRM. When i import it in my own CRM, this failure coming out, Failure: custom_systemuser_custom_projects_PM: Entity Custom_projects cannot be a referencing entity because it does not have an association saved query
    . Any idea of this?

i had try to remove the entity relationship of custom_systemuser_custom_projects_PM in it exported XML. After that, It cannot view when i upload it in importation, the error "Either the file could not be uploaded, Or this is not a valid customization file".

    Your assisting is much appreciate.

  • It sounds like you tried to modify the entity ownership in the customisation file. Although this is theoretically possible (but definitely unsupported), you won't be able to update an entity's ownership this way. To get this to work you have to delete the entity before reimporting.

Overall, given the difficulty and effort involved, it's normally easier to drop the entity and recreate it from scratch

  • First export both the entities(including entity where its shown in error).

And then import both entities into the other CRM , check how it goes.

  • is it mean i need to export out all the entity from the server, then export to the VPC?

if i gonna change 1 of the entity ownership from organization to user, will this work by changing their exported XML?

  • if your entity is related to another entity(have relationship with another entity), then try to export all related entity for example your entity has 1:N relationship with entity B , so you need to export both entities from your server and then import them into your vpc.
