I am trying to narrow the scope of my search but I get an error if I try to use a site with a sub domain.
For example: "office site:microsoft.com" works but "office site:microsoft.com/mac" does not.
Here is a URL to show the problem:
http://api.search.live.net/json.aspx?AppId=123B9D298EB5ABD5F26FDDAE7463789DBA9505F8&Query=office%20site:microsoft.com/mac&Sources=Web&Version=2.0&Market=en-us&Adult=Moderate&Options=EnableHighlighting&Web.Count=10&Web.Offset=0&Web.FileType=DOC&Web.Options=DisableHostCollapsing+DisableQueryAlterations&JsonType=callback&JsonCallback=SearchCompleted
If you view source you see:
SearchTerms":"office site:microsoft.com\/mac"
I tried using %2F instead of / but I get the same error.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Roger

My wild guess is that you don't want Word files but HTML pages - If I am correct, just remove FileType=DOC from your request.
