Advice on Individual Path to Database Management/Development (studying for)

  Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

  I think you should concentrate on one area at a time as trying to learn all three (Database development, Database management and Application development) will be difficult.  With regards to application development, there are a number of areas that fall under this category (Web Application, Windows Application, Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics).
