Install Windows 10 on Dell Inspiron 7559

    Question

  • Hello. I've bought a fresh Dell Inspiron 7559 and I can't clean intall a Win 10 Pro on it. It only allows me to use Dell's recovery image which is not what I want. I'm booting a USB with official Win 10 image and then it's just stuck always the same number (tried several times) "Getting files ready for installation (67%)"

Shall I return my laptop, or will Win 10 Pro be usable on it someday?

  • What errors (if any) are you getting?

Have you tried booting from that USB on another computer?

    etc.......

  • I'd probably contact Dell tech support. You can always ask general windows questions over here.

  • I wrote to Dell's support but they didn't yet reply. I've succesfully installed some linuxes on the Laptop so this might be indeed a Windows issue.

I've had the best luck just chat online or call them.
