Why does MESH need to constantly update and configure?

Question
-
I have a monitor that I share between two desktops, and several times a day I see the one DT that has MESH installed just running and running and running, the light never stops. When I switch the screen over to that machine, I see that the MESH alert dialog is displayed saying that the MESH needs to update and then configure. Why? Why does it need to be updated this often when no one is using the program? What is it updating that needs to be updated and configured that often?
This is really not only unnecessary but most annoying! And I am not sure it is good for my drive. I am the only one why uses my machines, and there is no one using the MESH, so there should be no reason for it to be required to update and reconfigure that many times. It appears to do this about every hour. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, and the problem still persists.
I hope someone can explain the logic behind it, if there is any. It is getting very old fast.

I think you need to file a bug, Jan. I'm not seeing that at all on 7 machines using Live Mesh.

Hi Steve,
I have filed a bug report, https://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=341784&SiteID=425
But, the workaround does not seem to be working. I attached more screenshots of the on-going update notices that go on, two were on within a short period. One was at 1:09p and the next at 1:11p today. And this goes on 24/7. When the notice comes up and I don't clear it right away, the machine just runs and runs and runs until I notice it and switch over to that machine and clear it, only to have it do it again in a short time. It is really very, very frustrating. I can't really get any work done even if I stay on that machine for having to constantly clear these errors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, to see if perhaps it was a bad install, but, it does the same thing. I have it installed on another machine and it is doing the same thing. Both are on Vista Ultimate x86.
Jan :)

Hi DevDuck,
Yes, Tim did advise me to do that in his comment in my bug report here, https://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=341784&SiteID=425
and I did add my login to the Administrator group, but, it has not stopped the update notices for me.
