I got 'provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host' exception occasionally when connect to SQL Server 2017 on Windows Sever 2019. RRS feed

  • Question

  • My application developed by Visual Studio 2017(15.9.16) and .NET Framework 4.7.2.

It's deployed on Windows Server 2012 R2(6.3.9600 and latest hotfixes updated).

I got 'provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host' exception occasionally when connect to SQL Server 2017(14.0.2014.14) on Windows Sever 2019 1809(build 17763.737 and latest hotfixes updated).

Client and server are all new installation.

There are no any Event Logs on client and server.

I have no idea to trace the exception.

  • Hi Johnny Chuang,

    Thank you for posting here.

Maybe that this thread is not related to c#, so I will move where is forum for forum to redirect it to the correct forum to get professional support.

The Visual C# forum discusses and asks questions about the C# programming language, IDE, libraries, samples, and tools.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
