How to log into HP Mediasmart server? RRS feed

    Hi all,

      Just another quick question. I have been trying to log into

    my HP mediaSmart server(WHS) using the mstsc.exe program

    from my XP home lacal machine. When I get the login screen

    I type in the user name and password I created in the user accounts

    window. The software however comes back and says that I am

    not in the remote users group so I can't log in.

     

    There doesn't seem to be anyway to add me to the group and

    I don't know if there is an admin account.

     

    Any ideas?

    The only user which can log in to WHS remotely via a remote desktop connection is the administrator. You will need to use the id "Administrator" with the password you set up when you first configured your server.

    Ken,

      Thanks for the information. I had tried Admin, but didn't think

    about Administrator.

     

    Really appreciate the help.
