help!! - - - installation did not succeed

i have windows xp that is about all i know about it... but i was trying to install windows live one care virus scanner on my computer and what i got was this message:::::

installation did not succeed

an error occurred during windows live onecare installation. please contact support..

error id : 0039-8050800C

help please....
i feel like such a dummy :D

The 0039 error indicates the One Care antivirus database failed to install correctly. You can try uninstalling One Care, run the cleanup tool - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=828910&SiteID=2
be sure no other antivirus products are installed, reinstall One Care. If One Care installation continues to fail please contact support. How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2
