ServerSideSync: track outgoing e-mails RRS feed

  • Our customer wants to have the e-mails of thier sales to be tracked automatically. No matter if the e-mails are sent via outlook, tablet or mobile. They can't install CRM Outlook client.

    ServerSideSync works perfectly for this scenario for incoming e-mails. They are created as an e-mail activity for the corresponding contact.

    Outgoing e-mails are not tracked according to Microsoft and our own testing. Microsoft idea is to use crm e-mail activity in web client for e-mail. This is not practicable for our customer.

    Any ideas how we can help our customer with a good solution?

  • I think this is a bug that MS CRM team hasn't fixed it yet. A workaround is tracking the outgoing email manually or waiting a bit long before reply the emails (Maximum 15mins, because default time of SSS is 15mins).
