How do I locate the Forums for a Brand?
You can locate Forums for a brand by typing one of the following URLs in the address bar of your browser:- For Developer Forums: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums
- For ITPro Forums: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums
- For Design Forums: http://social.expression.microsoft.com/forums
- For all other Forums: http://social.microsoft.com/forums
I was expecting the forums were demarcated among the complexity or scope or subject of the problem. For a lot of professionals wear a few different hats.
*** No they're grouped as above.
How do I quickly navigate to another Forum?
You can navigate to another Forum by clicking a higher-level link in the Eyebrow, and then clicking the Forum name that you want to navigate to.I don't quite follow "clicking a higher-level link in the Eyebrow". Please explain!
As an example click here.
How do I find the right Forum?
While searching for a topic, it is not always easy to select a Forum that best covers your interests. If you are not sure about the Forum that you should choose, you can perform a search on some of the terms that you are using and see where similar threads have been posted. To search for specific topics, type keyword(s) in the Search All Forums box and click Go.I can't find the Search All Forums box. I am look at this forum http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ and http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ for example.
Also don't forget from the outside http://lmgtfy.com/?q=%22healee%22+site%3Asocial.technet.microsoft.com

1.) Eyebrow is directly above "healee's threads"
2.) Search all box is directly below "healee's threads"
3.) Replace "healee" with desired search phase or text. Replace "social.technet.microsoft.com" with desired domain name with which to search.

1.) Eyebrow is directly above "healee's threads"
2.) Search all box is directly below "healee's threads"
I have tried both above on http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/user/threads?user=healee. In both cases, it seems to confine to social.microsoft.com only. It does not go to other forums such as answers.microsoft.com, social.technet.microsoft.com, social.msdn.microsoft.com. What I am saying is there does not seem to be any search results from other sites and clicking on Forums Home I can't see other sites but all sub-forums within social.microsoft.com.
3.) Replace "healee" with desired search phase or text. Replace "social.technet.microsoft.com" with desired domain name with which to search.
This is the good one. Thanks!
