Can I reuse it on my replacement system? Also, is there a way to find out if the person who stole the software is using it via Microsoft Updates?

Hello mhowze,
These forums are for the support for Validation or Activation issues. If you have an Office Licensing question, please refer the software's End User Licensing Agreement.
Any other Vista questions (unrelated to Activation or Validation), please try posting the question in one of the Vista Answers forums

Thank you,
