  • Hi there,

    This might help you:

Verify if Team Assignment Pool" checkbox checked at the bottom of the "Edit User" page in PWA server settings > Manage users, uncheck "checkbox" Team Assignment Pool & verify if resources can reassign tasks.

  • Can you please recheck your Admin group permission to make sure that Task Reassign permission is not set as Deny by mistake?

also what patch level your server is equipped with rite now? this sort of issue was once discovered in Project Server 2007, and following the SP1 of PS2007 helped to get rid from this.

let us know if the issue still persist and we will try to help you.

Good to hear that issue is resolve:
As Brian has cleared in the thread I sent:

"This is a behavior that we are aware of but do not have plans to change at this time.  The intention with the Team Assignment Pool is that it is set for a Generic resource rather than a real resource - so the intention is that this resource would not be logging in and therefore would not be re-assigning.  It is possible however to use a real resource - and this is when you can hit this bug.

Another good reason for using a Generic is that it then avoids any confusion when tasks are assigned.  If I am the team pool person and someone assigns me a task then do they really expect me to do do it - or just want someone from the team I am the 'pool' for?  And if the former then there is nothing to stop anyone on my team taking the assignment.  Using a Generic helps to make it clear which are my tasks and which are for the team."

Team Assignment Pool is set for a Generic resource but Assignment owner is for the real resource.
