CRM 2011: Team security role does not work for users RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I have created a team and assigned a security role to the team. Now I have added users to the team.

    When I checked security role is availble for the user through Javascript (using Xrmservicetoolkit), it always returned me false.

    But If I assign the same role to user then it returns the true.

    So do I need to add security roles to users also even though they are part of the team and team having security role?

  • Users will need some basic privileges (role) even if the team they belong to has security a role. This article explains the security role for teams in great detail.

  • Hi Yogesh,

    The security role (of the Team) will not be physically added to the User record. If thats what you are searching for.

    The User will get additional privilege to the Entity record for being a part of the Team.
