Error when edit existing posts in blogger RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm behind a proxy but I can publish a new post. However if I try to edit the post after I published it at the first time I'll get an error:

"The server encountered an error at the following URL:

    http://www.blogger.com/feeds/#lots of numbers#/posts/default/#lots of numbers#

    500 Error encountered

    Policy violation

    Method PUT denied by policy

There was a problem connecting the host you specified.

    Possible reasons:

You are trying to download a prohibited URL."

    What should I do?

  • Have you tried publishing without  going through the proxy? Does the problem still exist?

    Just trying to help...

  • Yes, I've tried. Without a proxy I could edit existing posts. But I still don't get it why I can't republish an edited post if I can publish new ones. Is that a difference between invoked URLs when Writer uploads new post and overwrites an existing one?

  • Then that's not an issue with Windows Live Writer. That's an issue with your proxy communications/setup.

Try finding a program that will sniff or monitor the traffic in/out of your proxy and make some adjustments, but it's not a problem with Windows Live Writer.
