Hi,

I bought a genuine win 7 copy but I after a while the system kept saying to me that my SN isn’t genuine.

I tried removing and reentering my product key but with no success.

    What should I do?

  • You installed a copy of OEM Windows 7 Ultimate that belongs specifically to a Lenovo brand computer. You do not have a Lenovo computer. You need to return the copy to the seller for a full refund, then purchase a conventional "Full Retail" edition of Windows 7 and perform a "clean install".

  • You are using an OEM SLP (system-locked preinstallation) copy.

    Windows License Type: OEM SLP

OEM SLP copies are installed by the manufacturer at the time the computer is built. OEM SLP copies are not-for-resale and may not be transferred to a new computer. They only work on a motherboard that has the manufacturer's codes in the SLIC table in the BIOS. You are using an MSI retail motherboard and retail motherboards cannot use OEM SLP copies of Windows. The seller was not authorized to sell this copy. You need to purchase a standard retail copy of Windows 7.
