  • Hello mac_01,

If your issue was just Activation related, I could help you, but your issue involves a question of Licensing that I am not an expert in.

My understanding is that one of the reasons an OEM copy of Windows cost less then a Retail copy is because an OEM copy of Vista is bound to the first computer it is installed on and once installed on that computer, it is not licensed to be used on any other computer.

My recommendation is that you ask in one of the Vista Answers forums (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsvista/) regarding the OEM Licensing rules. There may be someone that can provide better clarity that I can.

Calling Microsoft Croatia would also be a good idea, in case the Republic of Croatia is covered under different Licensing rules.

Sorry I couldn't be more help,
    Darin MS
