Windows 7 errors, cannot repair and cannot update. RRS feed

  • Hello, i ran a scannow and I have these on my scanlog

    IF anyone can please help me on out on what these mean id appreciate it.. I also have 12 updates right now that never update and i always receive a message saying Failure to configure windows update every time I restart..

     

    I am running a toshiba qosmio x505 laptop, with windows 7

  • Hello C3Nuke,

    Do you have access to another installation of Windows 7?  If so try copying autochk.exe from the known good W7 installation to yours.  You might have to do this in Safe Mode or while starting the computer from an offline (boot from disc) operating system.

    If that does not work, I would suggest changing forums from this one (which does Windows and Office Genuine Advantage) to one that does general Windows break/fix, like this one:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx#tab=2
