Change login email address for Technet Forums?

Question
-
Where can I change the email address which I use to login to Technet Forums?
ATT sold off Yahoo.com a few months ago to Verizon and I'll no longer be able to use disposable email addresses with the "@yahoo.com" domain after June 30th, 2017
Thanks

When you create an MSDN/Technet forum profile you are also associating it to a microsoft account (live ID) so what you're asking is to change your live ID. Seems this is no longer possible on forums end,
but what you can do as a work-around is logon to your live ID;
https://account.microsoft.com/profile#/
add a new alias email
https://account.live.com/names/Manage?mkt=en-US&refd=account.microsoft.com&refp=profile
and make it primary. Now you can sign on using the new email address.

I should add that the account name (Live ID) you logon with does not need to be a valid email address. My account name looks like an email address, but is not. It has never received email. But you can configure an email address for notifications in your profile.

I find it amazing that it will take 30 days for this information to be updated..... Sometimes is Microsoft not only convoluted but also seems excessively slow.... ;)Monday, April 3, 2017 1:31 AM
