I tried too many times to activate my microsoft vista on my computer so that my office suite 2010 would activate but for some reason I cannot activate it. It says in my system properties that 1 day until automatic activation. I downloaded the windows genuine diagnostic tool and this is what it came up with:

The Key you are using appears to be a key for a eMachine/Gateway PC, rather than your Compaq.Does your machine have a COA sticker on it? If so, what is the Operating System on it? Try using the Key from that sticker to activate, by going to the System Properties page, and at the bottom you'll see the option to Change the Product Key.
