The current installation is using a Blocked Volume License Key for Windows XP Professional.
A Blocked Key is one which has been determined by either its original owner, or by MS , as being lost, stolen, or abused.
Volume License Keys are sold only to organisations for use on their own machine - unfortunately many such organisations are very remiss in removing their license keys when they sell on the machines involved.
If your machine has a COA sticker for windows on it (and it should!) for what version and edition of Windows is it? (Do NOT post the Key!)

Please visit Genuine Microsoft Software and click on  Validate Windows.  After validation fails, click on the  Get Genuine button to review your options to acquire genuine Microsoft Windows software.

A better and considerably cheaper alternative would be to purchase the Sony Recovery disk set - available here
