    I have a computer that was sold to me second hand  and just found ot that it does nto have a valid copy of widnows xp on it is there a way for me to jsut purchase a valid license for windows xp without having to get the whole cd i see if you have a valid license you can purchase more licenses but i do not know what to do about this particular situation

    I think your on the wrong forum, however I think it's very good that you try to get a legal copy so please have a look in http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/knowthefacts/LegalizationSolutions.aspx for your options.

     

    I you have a working but illegal copy of XP Pro installed the WGA or GGK option are probably your best choice. Otherwise you'll have to acquire a retail or OEM license.
