Automatic synchronization between Access and AutoRoute RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
We use in our company the program Autoroute to display some suppliers and clients on a map.
We have already read the data from an Access DB, this has works so far.
Now we would like to link this DB with Autoroute, as it is a dynamic DB and regularly changes, so that we have the most recent data from the DB in Autoroute. Time to update is envisaged once during 24 hours. In the Night time, when nobody is working. Is this feasible in principle, do we need additional software or is it not feasible in general?

For help, tips and tricks I would be very grateful.

  • You should use the "Link Wizard" and not the "Import Wizard" if that is available. If it isn't, you'll need to upgrade to MapPoint.

The Link Wizard can refresh data with a single click.

Note that AutoRoute & Mappoint have now been discontinued, so I would recommend you look at another product.

We're currently recommending Caliper Maptitude which is significantly more powerful than AutoRoute (but costs more of course), and we are currently porting many of our products to Maptitude.
