How to remove search from toolbar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there anyway to remove the "search" box from the toolbar at the top of the screen in Word?  I never use it and it takes up space I could use for other things.

    Thanks.

  • Although not sure If I have understood your question correctly, I think you can customize the Ribbon of Microsoft Word and add/remove items according to your need. Following link contains steps for it.

As your question is related to Microsoft Word, it would be better to post your question on Microsoft Word thread in Microsoft Answers Forum

  • Thank you for your response. Search isn't actually in the ribbon it's above the ribbon in the standard tool bar. I will post the question at the link you suggested.

    Thanks again.

  • Hi she7,

Which version of MS word are you working with?

This forum is dedicated to Windows Forms programming issue, your question is off topic here. I'm moving it to Off topic forum to see if someone interested in it.

    Sincerely,
