Windows 7 (64) Pro has become unvalidated

Question
-
Hello, I have a OEM copy of Win7 64bit Pro which was pre installed when i bought my pc, have never had any Licencing issues until recently- I uninstalled Norton Anti Virus and now being asked to Validate Windows. try to Validate online and I get Error Code 0x8007000D (Data is invalid). Called Microsoft and they said that since it's an OEM edition my PC manufacturer is responsible. (Note my PC is custom built from an online company) Called them and all they could suggest was to do a fresh re-install which is a massive stuff around and don't want to do that unless absolutely necessary.

No the 'official' fix is this one, if the Licensing store doesn't work....
Please download this Fixit tool
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9741048
Save it to your desktop, and then run it.
Once complete, reboot, and post another MGADiag report.

Please first try recreating Licensing Store.
Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each
net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)
CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe
After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case
Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

When entering the 'REN tokens.dat tokens.bar' command it says "A duplicate file name exists or the file cannot be found.Thursday, April 11, 2013 11:15 AM

Change the line to
'REN tokens.dat tokens.bar3'
(or similar change to the final extension)
it seems that someone has already tried this at some point in the past?

Ok I entered that command line and nothing came up so i assume it accepted the command?
Followed by enabling service protection and activating slui.exe
Tried activating online and came up with the same '0x8007000D' Error.
Haven't tried this method before. Only thing i did try was renaming the 'Software Distribution' folder as it was an apparent fix for this particular error code but it didn't work.- Edited by Josh_1982 Thursday, April 11, 2013 11:56 AM

That looks like it's fixed it.
You just need to activate it now.
If Internet activation doesn't do the trick, then use Operator activation...
telephone activation (operator calls)
Click on the Start button
in the Search box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you
