Activation Failed

Question

Hi- I just had to install a version of Windows XP on a new desktop. I did so, and it gave me 30 days to activate windows. During that 30 days, I tried over and over to enter the Product Key (COA) from the sticker on my old desktop and it didn't work. I called customer service in India, spect hours and hours with them on the phone, and got no where. Now the 30 days is up, and I have to enter a key before I can get on windows. Can someone help me get a new key that works for the version of Windows XP so I can get on my desktop and start using it. At one point on the phone, I think they said the product key wouldn't work and I had to buy a new one, but they were either trying to taking advantage of me or didn't understand me (communication was hard because they had heavy Indian accents and I have a heavy Texas accent, so I'm told). So either way, the version of Windows XP is completely legit, I bought it with the last desktop I bought, and I don't understand why it won't activate this version of Windows XP. Someone, anyone, help! Please! I really need this desktop because it has all of my Music Production work on it and need to get back to work producing and mixing bands. Thanks- Barney Cockburn

OEM Licenses for Windows are restricted to use on the original motherboard on which they were activated. They cannot be moved to another computer for any reason.

I just sent a question, and realize I had touched on this before. Here's an question/answer I asked about the same topic a while back:
Please can someone help me, I have spent over 90 minutes trying to get this resolved over the phone with which has led me nowhere but to coplete frustration.
I originally activated this laptop about 7-8 months ago but after having to reset back to manufacturers settings windows activation isn't working.
I do not have a cd as this laptop does not have a cd drive and no-one can help solve this issue either, I have tried just about everything then I was led to here
